About

My work as an attorney is an outgrowth of my Christian faith. I seek to provide quality representation to individuals - including those with modest incomes. After graduating from Northwest Nazarene College and the University of Idaho College of Law, I worked for Idaho Legal Aid Services, Inc. After 10 years with Legal Aid, I worked for four years with the Canyon County Public Defender's Office, took a two year sabbatical to obtain a degree in Christian Studies at Regent College in Vancouver, BC, and then returned to the practice of law - first with a small firm in Caldwell, Idaho and then as a solo practioneer, first in Nampa, Idaho and now in Caldwell, Idaho.

My law school president planted an idea that has remained with me: lawyers are to function like "doctors of society." By pursuing just and fair resolution of disputes, lawyers bring healing. My desire as a family law, elder law and probate attorney is to do just that: seek just resolutions that hopefully also lead to reconciliation between the parties. To this task I bring not only 25 years of experience, but also a listening ear, an attention to detail, and perseverance.

Many of the areas of law that I practice in are governed by the "best interest" standard. What is in the "best interest" of the child? What is in the "best interest" of the elderly person? It is my goal to work with you as we practice "best interest" law and pursue the best interest of your child or elderly family member. In my free time I enjoy reading, letter writing and a little bit of gardening.
